Terms of Service

The agreement between you and us when you use Mumble.

Last updated 26 August 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Mumble — the macOS app, the website at joinmumble.com, and the related services we provide (together, the “Service”). Mumble is operated by SureInsight Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England & Wales. By downloading, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the Service.

1. Who can use Mumble

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, to use Mumble. By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement and that the information you give us is accurate. If you use Mumble on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you’re authorised to accept these Terms for it.

2. Your account

You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Let us know promptly at hi@joinmumble.com if you think someone else has accessed it. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account.

3. The Service

Mumble lets you dictate by voice into any app, ask questions about what’s on your screen, and hand off tasks to an assistant. Dictation is free to use. Some features are part of Mumble Pro, our paid subscription. We’re always improving the Service, so features may change, be added, or be removed over time.

4. Subscriptions, billing & renewals

5. Cancelling & refunds

You can cancel Pro at any time from Plan & Billing inside the app, or through the customer portal. When you cancel, your Pro access continues until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and it won’t renew after that. Dictation stays free either way.

Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If you’re a consumer in the UK or EU, nothing here affects your statutory rights, including any right to cancel a recent purchase. If something has gone wrong, email hi@joinmumble.com — we’ll try to put it right.

6. Acceptable use

Please use Mumble lawfully and reasonably. You agree not to:

7. Your content

What you dictate, ask, and create with Mumble is yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to run the Service — for example, to process your voice, screen, and requests so Mumble can respond. How we handle that content, and who processes it on our behalf, is set out in our Privacy Policy and Trust page. You’re responsible for the content you put through Mumble and for having the right to use it.

8. Our intellectual property

Mumble, including the app, the website, our branding, and everything we’ve built, belongs to us and our licensors. These Terms don’t give you any ownership of it — only a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while you comply with these Terms.

9. Third-party services

Dictation runs on your own device, but other features (like asking about your screen or running an agent) rely on trusted providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Supabase, and Stripe to process parts of your content. Your use of the Service also depends on things outside our control, like your device, operating system, and internet connection. We’re not responsible for third-party services, but we choose them carefully — see our Privacy Policy for details.

10. Availability & changes

We work hard to keep Mumble running, but we don’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service, and we’ll give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we don’t make warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Mumble’s output is generated by AI and may be inaccurate — please use your own judgement, and don’t rely on it as professional advice.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we won’t be liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Where our liability can be limited, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

13. Suspension & termination

You can stop using Mumble and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to us. If we do, we’ll act proportionately and, where appropriate, let you know why.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Mumble evolves. We’ll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, that means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and disputes will be subject to the courts of England & Wales. If you’re a consumer, you may also have the benefit of mandatory protections under the law of the country where you live.
